Russell James is a design and branding practitioner with two decades of first class international experience.

Beginning his career in both graphic and print design, Russell worked at a number of leading London design groups including Triangle Design and the global IPG group agency Futurebrand.

Whilst at Futurebrand, Russell was Creative Director, working extensively across Europe.

More recently the last three years he was Creative Director of the regional start up agency august in Dubai.

Choosing to depart paths in February 2009 to successfully launch and front the independent agency James.

Essentially James's own personal belief is that successful design goes beyond the evanescent to significantly connect to the user and create a permanent connection.

An unchanging self aim is to execute timeless design, built on a solid strategic platform of a four step cognitive methodology.

This has resulted in a highly proven track record of creative results of subject, style and integrity. Design work that is consistently imbued with a spacious elegance and sublime airiness, all too rare in the hurly-burly of current design trends.

Highly proud of his international design experience, which includes retrospective projects such as; 51 East, Aston Martin, Bank of Montreal, Bank of Scotland, British Airways, Diageo, Darwish Holding, Emirates Airline, Gleneagles Hotel, NCB Saudi, Quam, Sandy Lane Hotel, Scottish Widows, Johnnie Walker, Telefonica, City Hospital Dubai just to name a few.

Russell’s all pervading interest in the culture of design, style and communication have led to special projects as far afield as Barcelona, Barbados, London, Hamburg, New York, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
